Mohammed is delighted with the partnership: This is a great opportunity for myself and ZHUB. Wakefield AFC are a new and exciting club with huge ambition and great potential. Having the opportunity to expand the Wakefield AFC brand into Egypt, the Middle East and North Africa not only excites me, but allows me to be involved with the project and to ensure that our vision, to build a new generation of well-educated professional football players, will be achieved.”

Director of Football, Chris Turner added:
Our Partnership with ZHUB of Egypt shows how ambitious we are as a club. Yes, local talent is essential to us, but we want Wakefield AFC to become known around the globe. This is one of the reasons I’m taking on the Director of Football role as it allows me, along with Mike [Hegarty], to expand what we can offer to players and students internationally. I am looking forward to meeting and visiting Mohammad in the near future once the Academy is opened.
