ELLGREN AND WAKEFIELD AFC AGREE THREE-YEAR PARTNERSHIP

Wakefield AFC are delighted to confirm a brand-new three-year partnership with Elgren which starts ahead of the 2023/24 season.

The partnership will see Ellgren supply the club with replica kits and apparel for the next three years and beyond.

Both shirts for the 2023/24 season are completely eco-friendly having been made from 100% recycled polyester.

Wakefield AFC Director, Guilherme Decca, spoke on the agreement saying: “We wanted a kit provider based locally to Wakefield and Ellgren provides just that with great quality and design, while also creating jobs for people in the local community.

“Having worked with the team at Ellgren for a number of months in preparation to launch the clubs’ new identity, they have made the process extremely easy and have accommodated all of our design ideas, of which will be incorporated into the news shirts.

“They have also been flexible with both deliveries and samples which has been a massive benefit and we hope the relationship between both parties continues to flourish.”

Wakefield AFC previously played their home games in neighbouring town Featherstone but have secured a switch to the Be Well Support Stadium in the city of Wakefield ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

Decca spoke on the importance of the move into the city and the unity it will bring between AFC and Wakefield Trinity, who are also a partner club of Ellgren.

“While the teams are separate entities entirely, both playing different sports, we share many of the same objectives and values and having both teams playing out of the same stadium is great for the city.

“The shirts look very classy and there has been a lot of attention to detail that has gone into the kit designs that even some professional clubs would envy.”

Fourex Group Managing Director, Gareth Moore, added: “We are really looking forward to working with the team at Wakefield AFC in their first season at the Be Well Support Stadium.

“We are delighted with the kits that we have produced alongside the rebrand and we can’t wait to show WAFC supporters what we have in store for them as the club enters a new era in the city of Wakefield.”
