We are delighted to announce that we will be playing out of a WF postcode as we join forces with Betfred Championship Rugby League Club, Featherstone Rovers, to give the club a new home for the 20/21 season.
The partnership will see the First Team and Reserve team train and play out of the Millennium Stadium. The 7000 seated stadium is situated just 15 minutes outside Wakefield City Centre and will allow the club to continue to grow and move towards becoming the first professional football club in Wakefield.
The Wakefield AFC Development Squads will return to train and play out of The Dorothy Hyman Stadium in Cudworth. Our U16 & U18’s development teams will join the NERF Junior Premier League for the 2020/21 Season.
Wakefield AFC Owner, Mike Hegarty, commented:

Wakefield AFC Director of Football, Chris Turner, added:

The training and playing facilities are first class, our players I am sure will enjoy the professional surroundings and a top class playing surface. First Team Manager, Adam Lockwood, also added:
