Manny Katundu Signs For Stocksbridge Park Steels F.C.

Wakefield AFC can confirm that club captain, Manny Katundu, has left the club to take up an opportunity with Stocksbridge Park Steels F.C. Manny has been training with the BetVictor Northern South East Division team and has now completed his move up to the ‘Step 4’ club.

Manager Chris Turner says:I am absolutely delighted for Manny joining Stockbridge Park Steels. His desire, captaincy and his ability have given him the opportunity to play at a much higher grade of football. Manny has, in the time I have worked with him, been a delight to work with and I wish him every success. This proves that by working hard and dedicating yourself to being disciplined, opportunities will be provided by Wakefield AFC. All our other players should take note.

Manny Katundu added:My time at Wakefield has been very exciting and challenging. The facilities you receive are more than what you need to improve yourself physically. The full time training regime gave me the best possible chance to perform at my best level. No doubt Chris and Steve aided the developments in my knowledge of the game which were key and were always willing to help me gain the extra 1%. No better coaching than the ones who have been there themselves. The fans have been extremely supportive from the beginning and always kept faith in us. No doubt the team will turn it all around and get the wins back in. It was a pleasure to captain this side but new challenges lie ahead which I must tackle.

Everyone at Wakefield AFC wishes Manny all the very best for the future and thank him for his time and efforts at the club.
