Why did you join Wakefield A.F.C?

I heard there was a new team that had recently formed. They have quality facilities and I saw it as a big opportunity to be part of a club that will make it in the big leagues soon (fingers crossed).

How does Wakefield A.F.C compare with other clubs you have been at?

The facilities are second to none and the structure of the club is class. Also, I’ve never had my own chant before so that’s the icing on the cake.

What is it like playing under ex-professional footballers?

It’s quality. Personally for me it’s a good opportunity to learn about having the right mentality and attitude to be a good football player. Especially from people who have experienced it first hand at the highest level.

How do you prepare for a game? Do you have pre-game rituals?

I usually catch up over breakfast with my girlfriend. It puts me in a relaxed mood and calms all the nerves. I do 50 push ups first thing to give me a decent pump on so I look ‘sizey’ in my kit and finally listen to Eric Thomas’ motivational speeches to get me G’d up!

Who is the loudest out of the group?

[Laughs] That’s probably me, but just because I get excited seeing the lads so I shout – ALOT!

What is your favourite thing about Wakefield?

If you take away the current pandemic, I like how the city is developing. There’s more attractions like Trinity Walk, new restaurants, and most recently a recognised football club.

Who is your footballing idol and why?

Thierry Henry & Roy Keane. Both born winners. Imagine having the swagger of Thierry Henry and the winning mentality and passion of Roy Keane. If they had a baby it would be me…

Which football team do you support and why?

Arsenal. I grew up in London and followed them since I was a youth. I think it was when Henry signed actually – 1999!

What are you hobbies outside of football?

I usually go to the gym when I can squeeze it in. My favourite thing to do is go out for food with my lady. Can’t beat a good date night!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

Revealing my statue outside of the stadium and being recognised as on of Wakefield AFC’s most loved players. #YTB
