The club are delighted to announce that six more players have been added as Ngoyi, Smith, Dickinson, Raithby, Gibson, and Kabwe link up with the 2020/21 squad.
Jean Claude Ngoyi returns to the club having featured in both first team and reserve team last season. The right back, who can also play right wing, will be looking to impress the new coach and earn a spot in his starting 11.
Also returning to the club is Mason Smith. The 17 year old Australian midfielder, who is yet to feature for the first team this season, featured heavily in the reserves last season, bagging himself a few goals. Smith is also part of our Elite Football Programme.
Next up is defender, Jake Dickinson. Dickinson joins the club from Step 5 club, Athersley Rec. The right wing back has been heavily involved in pre-season games and has become a recognised face amongst Lockwood’s team. Dickinson has also had stints at Nostell Miners Welfare and Doncaster Rovers.
Experienced centre midfielder, Tom Raithby is next to join the club. Raithby comes with a wealth of experience having spent some time at Step 6 side, Brigg Town Football Club CIC. Raithby has been a regular feature in the squad and has shown great leadership in the middle of the park.
Brandon Gibson becomes the next player to join the club. Gibson, even though only 23, comes with a strong pedigree having played at higher levels in the football pyramid. The winger has featured just a couple of times this pre-season, and will be looking to get back fully fit and claim a spot in Lockwood’s starting squad.
Finally we have the versatile Kondwani Kabwe. Kabwe joins the club having completed a successful trial. Although he is predominantly a centre back, his athleticism allows him to feature pretty much anywhere on the field and will be a useful addition to the squad.
