Veritas Corporate are set to appear on the back of our playing shorts as the Barnsley-based company agree a three-year partnership with the club. Veritas Corporate also becomes our official workwear and PPE providers.
Veritas Corporate specialise in Corporate Workwear, Uniforms and PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) and are situated in Yorkshire.
Following both FA and Government guidance, Wakefield AFC has ensured the club provide a safe and secure environment for players, staff, and spectators, with help from Veritas Corporate. Wakefield AFC has introduced stringent safety measures, including appointing a COVID Safety Officer, good hand hygiene, the wearing of PPE, and social distancing requirements. The club’s COVID Safety Officer has undertaken a risk assessment and spoken to staff about any concerns — and made sure they have all the information they need. Wakefield AFC has made the facilities COVID-secure and implemented the control measures from the risk assessment. The club also has a procedure in place for managing employees who have or are suspected of having coronavirus. In addition, the club has considered the density of employees/volunteers and the numbers we can safely bring back into the workplace, as well as keeping surfaces and shared equipment clean.
Veritas Corporate has ensured Wakefield AFC have everything they need to implement the safety procedures. Veritas Corporate has provided hand sanitiser bottles, automated hand sanitiser gels with stands, infrared thermometer to check temperatures of all staff, players, and volunteers, as well as PPE such as face shields, disposable aprons, disposable gloves, and reusable face masks.
Phil Grundy, of Veritas Corporate, said “We’re really looking forward to working with Wakefield AFC and joining them on their journey to the Football League. We have been fortunate enough to supply them with all their PPE and other safety equipment, and will be providing them with much more, plus work wear in the future. It’s a great partnership for Veritas and one we are really excited about”.
Adam Sweeney, Commercial Manager, added “Veritas have been brilliant with us over the past few months providing us with everything we need to ensure we could safely return to training and start playing games. We’re really looking forward to working with Veritas over the next few years and building on what already is a strong partnership”.
