Wakefield AFC are thrilled to announce that Eyewear Opticians has become the principal sponsor of the club. The opticians will feature on the front of all 3 of our shirts for the 2020/21, 2021/22 and 2022/2023 seasons.
The Chapel Allerton based business has recently opened following the successful growth of it’s sister company, Selbie Opticians.
Kelly Plahay of Eyewear Opticians is delighted to partner with the club and said:
“We are Eyewear Opticians in Chapel Allerton, Leeds. The practice has recently been taken over by myself, Kelly Plahay, who owns another independent practice in Huddersfield. Both practices thrive on supporting the local community, so when Wakefield AFC were looking for sponsors we jumped at possibly being involved.
To know a bit about Eyewear Opticians; We are located near Aldi in the centre of Chapel Allerton. We have recently invested in new equipment to enhance our eye examinations in the practice, however we are also able to provide on site eye examinations for all of our Corporate clients.
We are also able to provide spectacles, sports goggles and contact lenses for all of your sports vision needs. There are many medical conditions that can be picked up from an eye examination and it’s not just a check to see if you need spectacles.
We are really looking forward to supporting Wakefield AFC and want to make sure all the players have their eye health and eye vision checked so are proud to be Official Eyecare providers for Wakefield AFC.”
Commercial Manager, Adam, added:
“It’s fantastic that the club and Eyewear Opticians have managed to agree this deal, especially over a long period of time. It shows great commitment and support from Kelly and we hope that this partnership flourishes over the next 3 years and hopefully beyond that”.
