As we continue to grow on and off the pitch, we’re looking for passionate and committed volunteers to join our team and help us take the club to the next level.
Whether you’ve got media skills, a love for the game, or simply want to give something back to your local community, there’s a role here for you.
Media & Marketing Volunteers
Do you have a passion for storytelling, sports, or creative content? We’re building a team of media volunteers to work alongside our Social Media Manager to capture and share the very best of Wakefield AFC.
Here are some of the roles we’re looking to fill:
- Club Photographer – Capturing the action, fans, and behind-the-scenes moments on match-days and at events.
- Video Content Creator – Creating short & long form video content from training and Game Days & fan interaction to enhance media output.
- Video Editor – Clipping highlights for YouTube and creating clips for engaging short- and long-form content for fans.
- Content Writing – Producing match previews, player spotlights, and articles for our website and programmes.
- Live Match-day Reporter – Providing live coverage for fans following from home. Either via X, LiveBlog, or Live Commentary.
- Podcast – Helping with the production of a Wakefield AFC podcast or audio content.
- Marketing – General marketing assistance for the club and generating new ideas with our Media Manager to increase the club’s exposure online and in the community, and increasing attendance.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to gain hands-on experience in sports media, build a portfolio, and be part of an ambitious football club.
General Club Volunteers
Wakefield AFC also relies on the support of dedicated volunteers across all areas of the club. We’re currently looking for help in:
- Commercial – supporting sponsorships, partnerships, and local business connection and generating move revenue & partnerships with local businesses.
- Community – helping deliver projects and events that strengthen our ties with fans and the wider Wakefield community and spreading the name of Wakefield AFC
- Game Day Operations – from welcoming fans on the gate, to assisting with retail operations helping our amazing team create a memorable match day experience.
