An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Marketing and Media Manager to join our team.

You will be based in our office in Shafton, Barnsley. This is a fundamental role to support our ambition to continually grow our presence and create engaging and innovative content across our social media channels. Alongside this, you will negotiate and oversee contracts with commercial partners, pursing new business opportunities and lead on the club’s sales and marketing strategies.


Key Responsibiliti­­­es

GENERAL

  • Shaping and executing a long-term content marketing strategy across social media.
  • Maintaining a consistent and on brand visual identity and tone of voice
  • Running and maintaining our social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok)
  • Generate social media reports
  • Creating well written content for our websites and email marketing
  • Updating and maintaining company websites, including product, pricing, and content on-site
  • Bringing in new business opportunities from existing and new clients by contacting local businesses and people
  • Managing social media and website maintenance for our sister companies FBT and Veritas Corporate

Possible roles within Wakefield Football Club

  • Producing original video and photographic content
  • Producing a match-day programme and other media and marketing materials
  • Staying up to date with social media platform developments and generating new ideas to entice our audience
  • Recording of match day games
  • Working closely in partnership with commercial partners to ensure agreements have been met
  • Responding promptly to online and email enquiries
  • Working with local community football clubs to form partnerships in the local community
  • Create, update and maintain ticketing system for all home fixtures
  • Manage ticketing system for memberships

About You

  • Experience in developing and managing marketing programs
  • Expert user of Facebook Business Manager
  • Passion for the digital marketing industry and the ability to write engaging and creative material
  • Strong communication and written skills
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with commercial partners
  • Some experience using Photoshop, Canva or similar tools
  • Experience with WordPress
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Enjoys a client-facing role

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
