We currently have opportunities for media students to join us for our upcoming season!
Are you a student or individual with an interest in media looking to join our small, dedicated team? Although you’ll be part of a small team, you’ll be comfortable working autonomously, naturally bringing ideas to the table with enthusiasm and creative flair. These roles are temporary and on a voluntary basis but could lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.
Videographer
In this role, you will:
- Film football games and other projects
- Maintain and look after camera equipment
- Assist in the editing and post-production
- Upload to TV platform within a deadline
- Create edits and clips from video library for marketing and social platforms
Key Skills:
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Willingness to travel
- Motivated, driven and able to meet deadlines
- A good understanding of videography/cinematography with the desire and passion to continuously advance your knowledge
- Competent DLSR Camera skills
- Good knowledge of video editing software (desirable)
Hours: game days and 3-4 hours throughout the week.
Photographer
In this role, you will:
- Create visual images
- Maintain and manage photography equipment
- Edit and retouch photographs
Key Skills:
- A portfolio of previous photography that reflects ability to adapt to a specific brand personality
- Proficient with retouching/post-production and an understanding of Photoshop (desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel
- Motivated, driven and able to meet deadlines
Hours: game days and 3-4 hours throughout the week.
Sports Journalist
In this role, you will:
- Produce written content for social media platforms and website
- Work with the media team to present content in unique and creative ways
- Conduct interviews with key personel
Key Skills:
- A passion for sports journalism and creating engaging content
- Strong writer with a good eye for detail
- Willingness to travel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Motivated, driven and able to meet deadlines
Hours: game days and 3-4 hours throughout the week.
Sports Marketing
In this role, you will:
- Work with the Marketing Manager to market sports teams, events, and players by building brand associations and creating effective advertisements
- Research marketing trends and innovations
- Use analytics to gauge the success of campaigns
- Build and maintain positive relationships with brand representatives
Key Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of the sporting industry
- Willingness to travel
- Motivated, driven and able to meet deadlines
- Ability to use analytics software effectively (desirable)
Hours: game days and 3-4 hours throughout the week.
