Matchday Information: Brighouse Town FC, 2PM KO

Firstly, thank you to everyone that has purchased tickets for Saturday’s game against Brighouse Town FC which marks our first home fixture in seven months. We are very grateful for your support and we look forward to welcoming you to The Millennium Stadium.

Following government guidelines, Wakefield AFC would like all spectators attending to adhere to the following information so that we can make the match-day experience as safe as possible for players, club staff, match officials, and spectators:

  • A reminder that tickets are available to buy in advance and this is our preferred option of entry, although a cash turnstile will be available on the day. If you do not purchase a ticket, either in advance or upon arrival, you will be refused entry to the ground.
  • Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms should not attend.
  • The gates for spectators will open at 12:00pm. Please do not arrive any earlier. We ask that all spectators stand 2 metres apart when queuing up at the gate unless you are in your bubble or with members from your household.
  • We ask that all spectators have their tickets to hand, either printed or displayed on mobile phones, so we can admit spectators quickly and efficiently.
  • Spectators must scan the QR code or complete a paper form, so we are then able to have your details on record for NHS Test and Trace purposes.
  • On arrival to the ground, we ask all spectators to sanitise their hands before entering, so that we can keep everyone safe.
  • There is a one-way system in place. This will be clearly labelled, and we ask that you follow the signs and guidelines accordingly. Please adhere to this one-way system to make it a safe environment for everybody attending.
  • Please can all spectators wear a face covering when they are queuing to enter the stadium and keep it on until they are seated or standing in the stands.
  • We ask that a socially distanced queue forms when queuing for the toilets if they are busy.
  • The Main Stand, Community Stand and Post Office Road End will be open for spectators. Spectators must adhere to social distancing and spread out into all the available space rather than congregating.
  • Food and drink are available to purchase from the Pukka Pie Stand. Alcohol will only be served from the Blue Lagoon Bar. Food and drink can be only consumed once seated in the Community Stand as stipulated by Wakefield Council. Please queue 2-metres apart when waiting to be served.
The Legends suite will be closed to spectators, as will the Rovers Return bar inside the stadium.
  • Our club shop will not be operating on the day. Programmes and pin badges will be available to purchase throughout the stadium.
  • Home and away supporters who hold a Blue Badge can pre-book a parking space by contacting Adam Sweeney at: commercial@wakefieldafc.co.uk. Bookings are free of charge and names will be added to the official car park list. Spaces are limited, due to a fair on the grounds, and we regret that once they have been taken, you will need to find alternative parking.
  • There is limited car parking at the stadium due to a private fairground occupying majority of the front car park which is out of the club’s control. There is parking to the rear of the stadium and spectators will be directed towards this and there is also parking in the surrounding areas. Please respect our neighbours if you park on the streets around the stadium.
  • If you have any COVID-19 queries, questions, or feedback for the club, please speak to Daniel Gardiner, who is our COVID-19 officer on info@wakefieldafc.co.uk.
  • We will have committee members and volunteers in place ensuring everyone is adhering to the guidelines so please respect them if they ask you to do something.
  • If any spectators require wheelchair access, please email the club on info@wakefieldafc.co.uk and we can make appropriate arrangements.

We are all looking forward to welcoming fans to The Millennium Stadium for our first home fixture in The Yorkshire Trophy. We want everyone to enjoy their day alongside adhering to the guidelines set by the club.

We also ask that you familiarise yourself with our Club COVID-19 Policy and Risk Assessment, which can be found here: Policies
