We are delighted to announce the launch of our very own Brand Ambassador Programme.

A Brand Ambassador Programme allows the club to introduce the Wakefield AFC Brand to new people across the digital world through positive and effective promotion, allowing us to form relationships with potential fans and partners. The Brand Ambassadors will be working closely with our Media Team, Fourteen Media Group, to promote the club.

What does a Brand Ambassador Do?

The Brand Ambassador will effectively ‘spread the word’ about Wakefield AFC. The Ambassador will simply be someone who is passionate about Wakefield AFC and the vision the club has. They will speak positively about the brand and will promote the club digitally and in the community to increase the exposure of the club.

The Brand Ambassador will also help the club increase its exposure within the Wakefield Community.
There are many benefits of being a Brand Ambassador, including commission on online sales and incentives for the most active Ambassador of the month.

Social Stats:

The club is one of the most active clubs at its level on Social Media. The digital stats from 2020 have been impressive for a start-up club, but there is always room for improvement, and with the Brand Ambassador Programme we can do just that. The club currently has over 3,500 followers on Facebook, over 2,500 followers on Twitter and over 1,200 on Instagram. But followers aren’t everything. We had over 2.5million tweet impressions in 2020, with over 1million of them coming in Q4 on Twitter alone. Our Facebook reach topped 250,000 in Q4 of 2020, whilst our Instagram had a reach of nearly 500,000 in 2020. The goal now is to improve on that and increase the exposure of the club significantly online.

Adam Sweeney, of Fourteen Media Group, said : “Being able to introduce the Brand Ambassador Programme to Wakefield AFC is huge for the club and something we have been planning for a little while. It will not only increase the brand’s exposure but it will also allows us to interact with the fans more and find out what they want to see online. Ultimately the goal is to get more attention on the club and attract new fans, commercial partners, and investors. We have already seen that we have an incredible fan base by selling out our capacity of 300 tickets every week, so introducing this initiative can only be a positive move for the club. In times like we are currently in, it’s imperative that the club gets all the support possible to ensure that it not only survives, but actually thrives. “
