Club Statement: Wakefield AFC Academy

First of all, we hope you are safe and well in these times.

We launched our own Development Academy programme for U7’s up to U16’s at the beginning of the year, to attract more young local players to the club. We have a vision and a determination to continue this as soon as we possibly can.

However, if you/your child is already part of our Academy set up, we would like to inform you that Kixx Wakefield and Colin no longer have any involvement or links to Wakefield AFC.

We’d also like to stress at this point that we do not have any connection to the newly formed Wakefield Boys Academy (https://bit.ly/2Ld0f8T) and that the online direct debit form through GoCardless is not Wakefield AFC’s responsibility.
(The form can be found here:
https://bit.ly/3fxlDnb)

If you are currently paying a direct debit via this form, please be advised that this is not club run and your funds are not going to the club, nor are they going towards you/your child’s position within the club’s Academy.

We have a number of changes going on with the Club and the Academy; we are welcoming new additions to the coaching staff as well as introducing new training days and times. We are also working hard to secure a venue and we are in advanced talks with a number of local venues for next season.

We will inform all player/parents/guardians of these changes and new registration systems in the coming weeks.

But for now, if you/your child are part of the Academy already and would like to remain interested in the future of the Wakefield AFC Developement Academy, or you aren’t part of the Academy but would like some more information on it, please email the club on academy@wakefieldafc.co.uk

For all existing players, please check your email junkbox for a club email that was released on 05/05/2020.

Stay Safe.
